Library of Things
A variety of educational kits have been created to support the growth and learning of children at various levels. These are great for teachers, daycares and of course families.
Seed libraries offer vegetable, herb, and flower seeds to the community free of charge. Users are encouraged to collect seeds from the plants when they reach maturity, dry them out and return them to the library to help re-stock the collection for the next season. Whether you’re a novice grower or a practiced green thumb, there’s something in our seed library for you. A full listing of Welland Public Library’s seeds will be posted below each spring. The seed library is housed at Main Branch but seeds can be sent to any branch on request. Our seed library was made possible by a generous grant from the Niagara Community Foundation.
Please call 905-734-6210 or email info@wellandlibrary.ca to reserve seeds.
The seed library is available annually beginning March 10, while supplies last.
