Digital Archive Ontario
A free database of digital material including archival photos, maps, postcards, video interviews, blog posts by specialist librarians and much more held by Toronto Public Library. The database includes information about the City of Welland and the Welland Canal.
Fiero Code
Know a child or teen who wants to learn how to code? Our library provides free access to Fiero Code, a self-paced learn-to-code software program for kids ages 8-18. Through fun and engaging tutorials and projects, Fiero Code teaches kids coding languages ― such as HTML, Python and JavaScript ― that they can use to build their own websites, video games, apps and more.

Over 1.5 million pages of historic Welland-area newspapers are now available digitally, optimized with OCR for keyword search capabilities. Free access is provided for patrons at all three WPL branches: Seaway Mall, Diamond Trail, and the Main Branch.
