Poetry evokes emotion, creates connections with the world and conveys thoughts and ideas through creative expression. It is also a way for us to explore the experience of grief. Presented by Hospice Niagara for teens aged 14 to 17yrs. who have had someone close to them die, regardless of the cause.

Poetry evokes emotion, creates connections with the world and conveys thoughts and ideas through creative expression. It is also a way for us to explore the experience of grief.
In this safe and supportive space, teens experiment with language and its creative possibilities as they explore their unique experiences with grief and loss. Young poets will read and write poetry and have opportunities to share stories of their loved ones — and eat pizza!
